Getting Ready to Teach

Tonight is the big night! I'm teaching a Community Education class tonight to a full class. I signed up to teach Scrappy Books as a way to get my name out there, a way to let people know that although I'm technically a Spanish teacher, this girl can teach craft skills too! I've spent many hours preparing the packets and finding just the right supplies for tonight. Technically, this will be the third time I've taught this, so now that the photos are shot, packets ready, I'm on my way!
If this is your first time visiting, thank you for stopping by. If you are a regular reader, sorry for the sparse postings lately. My January-February late night basement remodel is finally done! I'll post pics soon and resume regular postings.

Sharing the Valentine Love

I was bound and determined to come up with a Valentine craft/gift idea that the kids could do themselves. Entirely by themselves. Some friends had made these for Christmas and I realized that the pretzel love can be transformed to match any season or event. We had a bag of mixed colored sprinkles that looked quite Valentines-y when I added plain red, so we went with it. My main job was trying to keep the guys from licking their fingers while doing the sprinkle part. They did pretty well... only one extra trip each to the sink to wash hands. A truly happy little project indeed.
